The HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section is currently investigating a stabbing that occurred early this morning in Halifax.
At 1:03 a.m., officers responded to a call of an injured person in the 3500 block of John Parr Drive. It was initially reported that a 38-year-old man had fallen from a balcony and stabbed himself; however, further investigation indicated that he was stabbed after getting into an argument with someone known to him. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene without incident and the matter remains under investigation at this time.
