Police Investigating Stabbing

(10:50 a.m.)The HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section is investigating a stabbing that occurred earlier today in Halifax.

At 8:14 a.m., officers responded to a disturbance in the 2300 block of Gottingen Street. Officers located a 37-year-old woman who had been stabbed after an argument with another woman known to her. Officers arrested a 46-year-old woman at the scene without incident. The victim was taken to hospital by EHS for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. A knife was also recovered in the area. The suspect is currently being interviewed and charges are anticipated.

Investigators assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section are in the early stages of the investigation.
