Police investigating suspicious fire

Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a suspicious fire that occurred last night in Halifax.

At 11:48 p.m., police and Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency responded to the 5000 block of Harris Street for a report of a portable toilet and a small construction office on fire. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fires, no one was injured and the structure sustained limited damage. Investigators have deemed the fire suspicious and the incident remains under investigation.
