HRM Partners in Policing are issuing an advisory after prescription medication was stolen from two pharmacies in Dartmouth.
On March 3, police responded to the Family Drug Mart on Portland Street to a report of a break and enter that happened sometime overnight. On April 1, staff at the Guardian Drug Store on Pleasant Street arrived at work and discovered someone had broken in sometime overnight. In both cases, prescription medication was stolen that investigators believe may end up being sold on the street. Prescription medication should only be taken when prescribed by a doctor and HRM Partners in Policing remind citizens that it can pose a risk if not taken properly.
Investigators with the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section are also asking for the public’s help in solving these crimes.
