Two men and one woman face drug charges in relation two separate incidents that occurred last night in Halifax.
At approximately 7:25 p.m., two members of the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division attended an address on Lincoln Cross in relation to an ongoing investigation. When they were leaving, they detected a strong odour of marijuana coming from a nearby vehicle occupied by a male driver and female passenger. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of cocaine, steroids, needles and cell phones. A 31-year-old Dartmouth man and a 20-year-old Halifax woman are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).
At approximately 11:10 p.m., patrol members responded to a residence on Main Avenue in relation to a noise complaint about loud music. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle in a driveway with loud music playing. As officers approached the vehicle, they detected a strong odour of marijuana and observed open liquor and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle and the occupants resulted in the seizure of cannabis and cocaine from one of the passengers. A 20-year-old Dartmouth man is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face charges under the CDSA.
