Police release photos of possible robbery suspect

Investigators in the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a man who may have been involved in the robbery of another man in Halifax two weeks ago.

On Sept 3, at approximately 10:45 a.m., police received a complaint from a man that he was robbed some hours prior to contacting police. The 25-year-old man indicated that at approximately 2 a.m., he was walking in the area of Spring Garden Road and Queen Street when he was attacked from behind by three to four. The victim indicated he was struck several times, fell to the ground and that some of his personal effects were stolen. The victim sustained some minor injuries to his head, face and rib area and the suspects fled the area. The victim could offer no suspect description other than the males spoke English. 

Through the course of the investigation it was learned that the victim’s debit and credit cards were used at a few ATM's in the Spring Garden Road area within an hour of the robbery and also at three separate stores in Park Lane Mall later in the morning. Police are releasing pictures of a man investigators believe may have been involved in the robbery or have knowledge of the incident. Investigators are interested in speaking to this man.

Investigators are asking the man or anyone who can identify the suspect and/or who has any information on this incident to contact police by calling 902-490-5020.
