Police release photos of robbery suspect

Investigators in the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a man involved in the robbery of a convenience store three weeks ago in Halifax.

At 10 p.m. on August 23, a man entered the Kwik-Way convenience store at 486 Herring Cove Road. He produced a handgun, demanded money and cigarettes and fled the store. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as a white man in his 30’s, 5'7”, average build, wearing a black hooded jacket, grey shorts and sunglasses.   

Investigators are asking the man or anyone who can identify the suspect and/or who has any information on this incident to contact police by calling 902-490-5020. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or texting a tip - Tip 202 + your message to 274637.
