Police Request Public’s Assistance

Halifax Regional Police is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the driver of a vehicle seen at the time of a single car crash in Halifax last Sunday.

On November 17, at 4:50 p.m., police responded to a single vehicle crash outbound on highway 102 near the Larry Uteck Boulevard exit. A red Ford Explorer driven by a 30-year-old man lost control and flipped several times. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and remains in hospital with serious injuries. Members of the HRP Collision Investigation Unit and Forensic Identification Unit were brought in to investigate the crash but the cause remains undetermined at this time.

Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the crash and have yet to speak with police. They are specifically interested in speaking with the driver of a burgundy Toyota Yaris that was seen driving directly in front of the Ford Explorer and left the area on Larry Uteck Boulevard.
