Police Requesting Public’s Assistance

Investigators with the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man in the pictures below in connection with a robbery in Halifax.

On February 19 at approximately 7:51 a.m., police responded to a robbery at the Needs Convenience Store on Queen Street in Halifax. A man entered the store, produced a knife and demanded cash from staff. The employee refused, called police and the suspect fled the store empty handed. He is described as Middle Eastern, 25-years-old, 5'10" with a thin build and crooked teeth. At the time of the incident he was wearing a puffy two-tone green/beige winter jacket, a blue/grey toque with a Toronto Maple Leafs logo on the front, blue track pants with white stripes on the side and white sneakers.

This man should be considered armed and dangerous and members of the public should not approach him or try to take matters into their own hands. Anyone with information on his identity or whereabouts is asked to contact Halifax Regional Police at 490-5020.
