Police Requesting Public’s Assistance

Halifax Regional Police is asking for the public’s assistance in connection with a property damage investigation.

Yesterday morning, police responded to a property damage complaint at the Cornwallis Street Baptist Church in Halifax. Staff arrived at the Church and discovered that a racial slur had been scratched into a plaque on the exterior of the church sometime overnight between 4 p.m. on Saturday and 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Community Response Officers are canvassing the area today, looking to speak with anyone who may have observed any suspicious activity around that location on Saturday night.
