Police Searching for Stolen Dune Buggy

On November 29, Halifax Regional Police recovered the dune buggy reported stolen on October 23 in a wooded area near Harrietsfield.

Media Release - October 24, 2013 (1:42 p.m.)

Halifax Regional Police is requesting the public’s assistance in locating the individual(s) responsible for stealing a dune buggy from Bedford yesterday.

On October 23, between midnight and 2 a.m., unidentified suspect(s) stole a utility trailer with a dune buggy loaded on it that was parked outside 357 Larry Uteck Boulevard.  

This dune buggy is described as a red Hammerhead 250 with modified hand controls. It was loaded on a utility trailer with a wooden deck and rails and a hand winch on the tongue. This buggy is used as a recreational vehicle by a man who uses a wheelchair.

Anyone with information on the location of this buggy or on the identity of the suspect(s) involved is asked to contact police at 490-5020.
