Wednesday, June 24, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that work will continue on Portland Street until Wednesday, July 8.
Several projects are underway on the street between Baker Drive and Portland Hills Drive, including concrete curb replacement, manhole adjustments and water valve work.
All of these improvements – including asphalt patching – are in preparation for micro-surfacing that will take place after the completion of the previously mentioned preparatory work.
Lane drops will be in place while the work is underway and motorists should expect delays in the area.
Drivers are asked to consider alternative routes whenever possible.
The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this work might cause.
