Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to participate in a public engagement workshop this week intended to help shape the vision and guiding principles for Fort Needham Memorial Park. The discussion and feedback gathered at this workshop will inform the ongoing master planning process for the park space.
When: Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, 7-9 p.m. (doors open 6:30 p.m.) Where: United Memorial Church, Social Room, 5350 Young Street (Accessible elevator on west side of building)
With the upcoming 100th anniversary of the Halifax Explosion in 2017, this is an opportune time to strengthen the park’s connection to our past and refresh it as a significant public space serving residents and visitors in the future.
