Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising motorists that Argyle Street in Halifax will be closed to traffic this weekend between Prince and Sackville streets for the annual Argyle Street Party, featuring the Taste of Argyle event.
The street will shut down to vehicles starting at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, and remain closed until 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23. The block of Argyle between Sackville and Blowers streets will also be closed to traffic as part of the ongoing Argyle Streetscaping Pilot Project.
As part of Taste of Argyle, all the restaurants on Argyle Street between Prince and Blowers will have street food available for purchase and live music daily between noon and 8 p.m. Musical acts will include the Mike Cowie Band, Ocean Avenue with Joe and Chelsea, The Groove Effect with Joe and Martin, and many more!
