Update - November 2, 2013 (12:20 a.m)All roads in the area around the construction site which had been closed are now open.
November 1, 10:50 p.m.Halifax Regional Police are currently on scene at the intersection of Queen Street and Spring Garden Road in Halifax. Several sheets of plywood have blown off the roof at the new library which is under construction. Police have cordoned off the area and traffic is being re-routed around the construction site. Spring Garden Road is shut down between Birmingham Street and Brunswick St, and Queen Street is shut down between Clyde Street and Spring Garden Road. The construction firm has been notified and are dispatching resources to secure the building materials.
