Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that beginning on Thursday, Sept. 4, and continuing on Friday, Sept. 5, crews will be doing micro-surfacing work on Fall River Road.

This work will take place daily between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. to dusk in order to accommodate young students bussing to and from nearby Ash Lee Jefferson Elementary School.

Crews will be working from 1046 Fall River Rd. to the intersection of Fall River Road and Blue Hill Road. Lane drops will be in place while this work is going on and there will be stop-and-go traffic. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

This work is the final stage in a project to replace damaged curbs on Fall River Road. Once the micro-surfacing work is complete, crews will continue with line painting, as weather permits.

The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
