Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that crews working on behalf of Nova Scotia Power will be replacing a utility pole tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday on Rainnie Drive, between Brunswick Street and Gottingen Street.

Work will take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Wednesday and from noon to 4 p.m. on Thursday. Two lanes of traffic (one in each direction) are expected to be maintained at all times. The sidewalk on the Citadel Hill side of Rainnie Drive will be accessible during most of the construction. Traffic control personnel will be on site to help guide pedestrians. Pedestrian access to the sidewalk may be disrupted for a short duration (approximately 10 minutes) while the crew drops the new pole into place, but the exact time for this work is not known.

Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Nova Scotia Power and the municipality apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
