traffic improvements on Wright Avenue.
This work will include resurfacing, traffic signal replacement and new sidewalks on Wright Avenue from Windmill Road to MacDonald Avenue, as well as road construction to widen Wright Avenue from Haliburton Avenue to Windmill Road to accommodate a third turning lane.
Work on the water mains will generally take place during the night hours, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. There will be a road closure in place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. to accommodate the excavation work related to this part of the project. Detours will be in place.
The sidewalk, traffic signal and other related work will take place during the daytime hours. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternative routes, if possible.
All of the work is expected to be complete by Sept. 12, 2014. The Halifax Regional Municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
