Three men have been charged in connection with a serious assault and robbery that occurred yesterday in Herring Cove.

At approximately 8 p.m., the 18-year-old male victim met with four men known to him in a public parking lot in Halifax. They entered a vehicle and drove to the Herring Cove lookout where the victim was seriously assaulted by the suspects who also stole his money before leaving him at the scene. The victim made his way to his residence and contacted police. He was transported to hospital where he was treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries. This was not a random incident.

At approximately 11:00 p.m., officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section arrested three men in connection to this incident. Cody Thomas Flint, 20, Alexander Ross Quackenbush, 19, and Cody Francis Arsenault, all from Halifax, are charged with assault causing bodily harm and robbery. Flint also faces two counts of breaching a court order. They were held in custody overnight and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court today.

The investigation is continuing and additional arrests and/or charges are anticipated.
