Robbery - GO#16-117727, Central Division

 At 5:05 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a commercial hold up alarm at a business at 2860 Oxford Street in Halifax. 

On arrival HRP determined that a robbery had taken place at the “Daily Sweets” store.  A man had entered the store and demanded money from the staff member. He was described as a white man, approximately 5 foot 4 inches tall, bald with a large build, wearing a blue shirt and jeans.  The man left the store with a sum of money in an older model gold sedan.  There were no injuries in this robbery and no weapon was used or threatened. 

 At approximately 9:20 p.m., HRP arrested a 45-year-old man in the area of North and Dublin Streets in Halifax.  The matter is currently still under investigation by members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.  Charges are anticipated against this man, however the exact charges will not be known until the investigation is complete.  An update will be issued when that decision has been finalized.
