At approximately 3:25 am Halifax Regional Police members were flagged down along Barrington Street by a man who reported he had been robbed. The 25 year old man was walking in the area of Salter Street and Barrington Street when he was assaulted by two men and robbed of his cell phone. The suspects then fled the area in an unknown direction. The suspects are described as a white man wearing a grey t-shirt and a black man approximately 25 years of age with a muscular build wearing all black clothing. The victim was treated by EHS paramedics at the scene for non life-threatening injuries. The Integrated Criminal Investigation Division will conduct an investigation into this matter and are asking anyone who may have any knowledge of this incident to call Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5020.
