On June 7, at 11:42 p.m., HRP officers responded to a Weapons / Robbery call in the 700 block of Herring Cove Road. Two men entered an apartment and assaulted a 64-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman. Both victims were struck in the head area suffering lacerations but non-life threatening injuries. The suspects fled on foot after taking a sum of money. A K-9 track proved positive and 1 man was taken into custody after a leghty track.
Both suspects were dressed in black with covering over their faces but this is not believed to be random act. The scene was processed by Forensic Officers and the incidents remains under investigation by members of the Integrated General Investigation Section.
