June 25, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that work will begin tomorrow, June 26, to extend the natural gas main on Robie Street, between Belmont Road and Inglis Street, and on Inglis near the intersection with Robie.

Crews will begin with saw cutting on Friday and the pipe installation will commence on Thursday, July 2. At least two lanes of traffic will be maintained for most of the work, with some stop-and-go traffic required while crews work in the intersection of Robie and Inglis.

No work will take place during peak traffic hours (7-9 a.m. and 4-6 p.m.). The pipe installation and subsequent restoration is expected to take approximately five weeks to complete.

Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible. Heritage Gas and the municipality regret any inconvenience this work may cause.
