Monday, Nov. 30, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that work will begin tomorrow (Tuesday), to extend the natural gas main on Robie Street between Belmont Road and South Street.
At least two lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times. No work will take place during the two rush hour periods (7 a.m. to 9 a.m., and between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.). The pipe installation and temporary restoration is expected to take approximately three weeks. Crews will return in the spring to complete permanent restoration.
Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.
Heritage Gas and the municipality apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
