Halifax Regional Police would like to remind all residents about the dangers associated with snow removal equipment after a pedestrian was grazed by a snow plow this afternoon in Halifax

At 12:45 p.m., police responded to the 6000 block of Cunard Street after a pedestrian was grazed by a snow plow. A privately owned snow plow, engaged in snow clearing operations, was reversing when the pedestrian crossed the Street behind it. The graze caused the pedestrian to lose balance but he was not injured. No charges are anticipated in this incident.

During the winter months, snow removal crews, residents, pedestrians and motorists have a shared responsibility to ensure everyone’s safety. When snow plows, loaders, or other equipment are present, residents are reminded to keep a safe distance and not to approach working equipment under any circumstances.
