The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that road construction for the Shore Road Bridge replacement project will begin on Monday, March 30.
The closure of the Shore Road Bridge is expected to begin on April 6 and remain closed until June 27. A marked detour will be in place for vehicular traffic.
It is important to note the contractor for this project has been granted a Noise By-law exemption to complete portions of the work that are affected by the timing of tides in the area. This means work may take place during overnight hours or early morning hours from April 8-May 1 and May 11-May 15, inclusive.

La Municipalité régionale d’Halifax informe les résidents que les travaux de construction routière pour le projet de remplacement du pont du chemin Shore débutera le lundi 30 mars.
La fermeture du pont du chemin Shore devrait commencer le 6 avril et le pont restera fermé jusqu’au 27 juin. Une déviation indiquée sera en place pour la circulation des véhicules.
Il est important de noter que l’entrepreneur pour ce projet a obtenu une exemption de bruit en vertu du règlement pour terminer des parties du travail qui sont touchées par le temps des marées dans la région. Cela signifie que les travaux peuvent avoir lieu pendant la nuit ou tôt le matin du 8 avril au 1er mai et du 11 mai au 15 mai inclusivement.
