A man is facing charges after a break and enter in Dartmouth yesterday.
At 12:20 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a suspicious man on Bow Street. Witnesses reported observing a man carrying large garbage bags down the street, although it was not garbage collection day for the area. Officers located the man and retrieved tools that had been stolen from a nearby shed earlier in the day. The man was also arrestable for a theft at a business on Portland Street on January 21.
Forty-six-year-old Robert Frank Jeffries of Dartmouth was held in custody overnight. He is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to face charges of break and enter, theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen goods under $5,000.
