Officers are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three men after they approached a teenage girl Tuesday evening in Dartmouth.

At 4:30 p.m. on March 29, police were advised that on March 28 at 6:50 p.m., a 15-year-old girl was walking on Highfield Park Drive near Victoria Road when a blue Mazda hatchback with a temporary permit with three male occupants, slowed down next to her. The two passengers got out of the car, tried to talk with her and asked her to come with them. The girl, who did not know these men, yelled at them to get away. An older man, who heard the girl yell, came to her aid and walked with her away from the vehicle. The men got back into the car and left in an unknown direction. The girl advised her mother of the incident the next day and police were called.

The driver is described as a black man in his 40s with three small tattoos, either tear drops or stars, under his right eye. The passengers are both described as black men in their 20s. The front passenger was wearing jeans and a black winder coat with a fur lined hood at the time of the incident and the passenger in the back was wearing a black coat and grey jogging pants.

Investigators are asking anyone who has any information on this incident, or the man who came to the youth’s assistance who she did not know, to contact police by calling 902-490-5020.
