Officers are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two men after they approached girls in two separate incidents yesterday in Halifax.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., a 15-year-old female was walking in the area of Duffus Street and Novalea Drive when a man in a car pulled up beside her and said hello. The man drove ahead, parked his car on Roome Street and then got out and walked towards the teenager. The teenager ran home and notified her mother of the incident and the man drove off.

The driver is described as a dark complected black man in his 30s, 5’8”, bald, medium build with large eyes and spoke with an accent. The vehicle is described as a large dark grey sedan.

In a second unrelated incident, at approximately 2:45 p.m., a 10-year-old girl was walking in the area of Greenpark Close when a man in a car pulled out of an underground parking lot of an apartment building, stopped, motioned to the girl with his right hand and said “get in”. The girl ran home to notify her mother of the incident and the man drove off.

The driver is described as a white man, 30-40 years old, medium build, shoulder length black hair, a goatee, nose piercing and spoke with a deep voice. He was wearing a dark coloured t-shirt with white writing on it at the time of the incident. The vehicle is described as a smaller black sedan.
