Suspicious vehicle and person

Halifax Regional Police responded to a suspicious person call in the area of Southgate Drive and Larry Uteck Boulevard. At approximately 11:45 a.m. this morning, an 11-year-old girl was approached by a motorist who tried to coax her into his vehicle. As she walked through the a parking lot, a parked vehicle with a male driver drove up next to her and motioned with his hand for her to come over to his vehicle. The girl continued to walk through the parking lot and across the street. The vehicle drove by the girl a second time, stopped, spoke to her and again gestured for her to get into to his vehicle. At this point, the girl ran away and contacted police. 

The male driver is described as a white man, 25 to 30 years old with shaggy curly brown hair. He was wearing a brown coat. The vehicle is described as a gray sedan.
