Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that on Thursday, Aug. 28, crews will be relocating the crosswalk and street signage that is currently located at the intersection of North Park Street and Cornwallis Street.
This is a temporary change to accommodate the installation of underground power utilities as part of the nearby roundabout and North Park Intersection Redesign Project.
For approximately the next two weeks the crosswalk will be located 60 feet to the south, closer to the Cogswell Street intersection. The sidewalk along North Park Street and the active transportation trail on the Halifax Common will remain open to pedestrians at this stage in the project.
The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this work or the detour may cause.
