Theft of urn

Halifax Regional Police is requesting the public’s assistance recovering an urn stolen from the backyard of a Halifax residence over the Halloween weekend.

On November 5, police received a call after a resident discovered that an urn containing a family member’s ashes had been taken from the back patio. The urn is gray, 2 ½’ and resembles a Greek column. It has a brass sundial on the top with the name of the deceased and “November 6, 1942 – June 6, 2002. Daughter, be of good comfort: Thy faith hath made” inscribed on plaque.
