Members in the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigative Section have charged three youths in relation to a robbery which occurred in Dartmouth last week.

On January 24 at 6:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery on Collins Grove. A 23-year-old woman reported that she was followed by several male youths after exiting a Metro Transit bus. The youths approached her from behind, pulled her hood over her head and pushed her to the ground. The suspects took the victim's shoulder bag which contained several items. The area was checked but the suspects couldn't be located.

After a complete investigation by police, three youths were located and arrested over the weekend in connection with the incident. A search of a residence in the Preston area resulted in the stolen items being returned to the woman.

Two youths, aged 15, face robbery and various breach related charges. A 16 year-old youth faces a robbery charge. All three are scheduled to appear in Halifax Youth Court on February 9, 2012.
