Halifax Regional Police is issuing a traffic advisory in relation to a motor vehicle collision that occurred outbound on Highway 102 from Bayers Road in Halifax.
At 2:21 p.m., a vehicle was travelling inbound on Highway 102 when the female driver lost control, resulting in the vehicle jumping the median and hitting a vehicle travelling outbound. The male driver of the outbound vehicle was taken to the hospital for observation with non-life threatening injuries. The femaleriver was cleared at the scene by EHS.
The outbound lanes from Bayers Road are currently closed as officers are investigating the collision. Inbound traffic can exit at the Joseph Howe Drive turn off, but cannot enter onto Bayers Road as this area is closed as well.
Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to take alternate routes. It is anticipated that the lanes will be opened up shortly.
