Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents of traffic control changes being implemented today at the intersection of Hollis Street and Terminal Road, in Halifax.

A new stop sign is being installed on Hollis Street southbound at the intersection of Terminal Road, creating an all-way stop at this location. Associated pavement markings denoting the new stopping area and allowable turning movements are already in place.

Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians are advised to travel with caution in this area over the next few weeks as all road users become familiar with the new signage.

This new all-way stop is being implemented as part of the Hollis Street bicycle lane project currently being installed on Hollis Street south of Cogswell Street and Terminal Road. The bicycle lane is expected to be completed within the next two weeks, weather permitting.
