Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that there may be some traffic delays in the Sackville area on Saturday, Feb. 14, as the Parade of Lights for the Sackville Snow Days Festival travels through the community.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the parking lot of the Royal Canadian Legion on Sackville Cross Drive. The parade will head north, turning right onto Sackville Drive, and then heading east to the Rock Church at 222 Sackville Dr. The event will wrap up by about 8 p.m.

RCMP will be on scene during the parade to help direct traffic. Motorists should expect some delays and are asked to use alternative routes, if possible.

The Sackville Snow Days Festival runs from Feb. 13-16 at a variety of locations across the community. There will be winter events for all ages, including skating, ice fishing, parking lot hockey, a snowman contest, scavenger hunt, dances and the first Sackville Snow Days Parade of Lights.
