Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges

(11:10 a.m.)A man is facing drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop last night in Dartmouth.

Shortly before 1 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Woodland Avenue and Micmac Boulevard. The driver was arrested at the scene and a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of marijuana.

Twenty-four-year-old Nevin John Lund of Ottawa is charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.  He was held in custody and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today.
