(3:55 p.m.)Halifax Regional Police is conducting an internal review into an unintentional discharge of an officer’s firearm that occurred this morning at the HRP Northbrook Training Centre in Dartmouth during firearms training.
At 7:35 a.m., a number of HRP officers were inside the training gymnasium practicing dry-fire training using inert rounds in their HRP issued service pistols when a live round was fired from one of the pistols into a concrete-backed wall. No one was injured.
The internal review surrounding the circumstances of this incident is underway.
