In relation to the police operation on Ashdale Avenue in Halifax, at approximately 2:40 a.m. HRP Crisis Negotiators were successful in having the man exit the location and surrender to HRP Emergency Response Team members. A 38-year-old man from Halifax, was taken into custody without incident and will be remanded into custody. He will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Monday December 5th to face charges of Assault Police Officer with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of court order.
The Main Avenue/Titus Street area is in the process of being reopened to traffic at this time. Halifax Regional Police would like to thank the public for their patience with the traffic disruption as we brought this situation to a safe conclusion.
