The investigation into the car/pedestrian collision that occurred at the intersection of Williams Lake and Herring Cove Roads in Halifax yesterday remains under investigation by the HRP Accident Investigation Unit.
It has been determined at this point that the victim, an 81-ear-old woman, was crossing Williams Lake Road in a marked crosswalk equipped with a crosswalk signal and was subsequently struck by a car driven by a 71-year-old male driver who was attempting to make a right hand turn from Williams Lake Road onto Herring Cove Road.No charges have been laid in this matter at this time.
The victim remains in hospital with serious injuries.
