Yesterday at 10:55 p.m. officers responded to the 5200 block of South Street in Halifax after a 65-year-old man was found deceased inside his residence. Forensic Identification Officers processed the scene and the remains were transported to the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service where an autopsy was conducted this morning.
Further testing is required to determine the cause of death. Investigators with the HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit are in the preliminary stages of the investigation and are continuing to explore the circumstances surrounding the man’s death. At this time, they are treating his death as suspicious.
