Update on fatal vehicle/pedestrian collision

Police are continuing their investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred Tuesday night in Halifax.                    

At 11:18 p.m., police responded to 6990 Mumford Road, the Walmart parking lot, in relation to a motor vehicle collision between a pedestrian and a truck. Twenty-four-year-old Ian Perry-Berger of Halifax passed away on scene as a result of his injuries. A 52-year-old man was arrested at the scene and was held in police custody. He was released last night at approximately 6:30 p.m. without charges.

Investigators in the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.  They are looking to speak with anyone who may have any knowledge of this incident as they believe there may have been other witnesses who have yet to come forward.
