Update on Larry Uteck Boulevard Collision

UPDATE (November 17, 2018):

The driver of a vehicle involved in a collision with a snow plough on November 16 has passed away.

At approximately 6:45a.m. police responded to a report of a collision between a minivan and a commercial truck with a snow plough on the front near the 1000 block of Larry Uteck Blvd. The driver of the truck was not injured in the collision. The 63-year-old male driver of the minivan, the only occupant of the vehicle, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on November 16.

The collision remains under investigation by the Collision Investigation Team.

At 6:43 am on November 16, Halifax Regional Police responded to a two vehicle collision in the 1000 block of Larry Uteck Blvd. A vehicle with one occupant struck a snow plow head-on causing extensive damages. The snow plow was travelling outbound on Larry Uteck Blvd. toward Kearney Lake Road. The driver of the vehicle was transported to the QEII with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries. The operator of the snow plow was uninjured. The incident is being investigated.
