Update: Police make arrest in December robbery

Halifax Regional Police has arrested a man who was wanted in relation to a robbery that occurred last year in Dartmouth.

On December 2, 2013 at 7:50 p.m., officers responded to a robbery call in the 0-100 block of Nantucket Avenue. A 23-year-old man was using his iPhone when he was approached by a man who grabbed the phone and ran off. A second man punched the victim in the side of the head, causing him to fall to the ground. The suspect then fled the area. The victim received minor injuries. 

Yesterday afternoon, a 26-year-old man attended Police Headquarters to turn himself in relation to the incident. He is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today on charges of robbery and possession of stolen property under $5,000. An 18-year-old Dartmouth man was charged with robbery on December 3, 2013 in relation to this file.
