Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have charged a man in relation to a stabbing that occurred last night in Dartmouth.
At 7:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of two groups of males fighting in the area of Eisner Boulevard in Dartmouth. Officers located a 16-year-old male youth who had been stabbed by a man known to him. The youth was taken to hospital by EHS for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Nineteen-year-old Saeid Taherzadeh of Dartmouth was held in custody overnight. He is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court this afternoon to face charges of assault and assault with a weapon.
The male youth who was taken into custody was released without charges.
