Update in Taylor Samson homicide investigation

As part of the on-going search in Lower Truro, searchers located items last evening that investigators now believe may be connected to the homicide of Taylor Samson.

Police have been on scene at the property in Lower Truro since Tuesday. They were joined by numerous search and rescue teams on Wednesday and Thursday. On Thursday at approximately 7:30 p.m., searchers located several items of potential interest. Halifax Regional Police Forensic Identification officers attended the scene and seized the items for analysis. Based on the analysis to this point, investigators believe the items may be connected to the Samson homicide. The nature of the items and how they may be connected to the homicide won’t be disclosed in order to protect the integrity of the investigation.

Today, investigators are again joined by searchers. Additionally, the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team is on scene and will be searching a pond in the area.

Taylor Samson’s remains have yet to be recovered. The investigation is on-going and the search of property in Lower Truro continues.
