Halifax Regional Police has concluded the investigation into a fatal collision that occurred in Dartmouth earlier this year.
On May 21 at 2:56 p.m., officers responded to a collision between a truck and a cyclist at the intersection of Windmill and Albro Lake Roads. A delivery truck travelling north on Windmill Road had a green light and proceeded to make a right-hand turn onto Albro Lake Road. As the truck was turning, a 30-year-old female cyclist travelling north on Windmill Road collided with the side of the truck, fell from her bicycle and under the rear wheels of the truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation by the Collision Investigation Unit determined that no charges will be laid against the driver of the truck as there were no violations of the Motor Vehicle Act.
