On July 4, at approximately 5 pm, Halifax Regional Police responded to several calls of a large explosion in the area of Brunt Road in Harrietsfield. Upon arrival, members located a vehicle on fire. Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency allso attended and was able to put out the vehicle fire and surrounding grass fires.
The vehicle, a 2009 Porsche Cayenne, was completely destroyed. The area where the vehicle was located was an isolated trail and police have recovered other vehicles at this location in the past.
The registered owner reported the vehicle stolen. At this time the incident is still under investigation by General Investigation Section (GIS). There were no injuries.
