Vehicle/pedestrian collision

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a vehicle/pedestrian collision that occurred yesterday afternoon in Halifax.

At 4 p.m., police responded to a vehicle/pedestrian in the Northbound lane of Robie Street, between South Street and University Avenue. A 17-year-old female pedestrian attempting to cross Robie Street was hit by a car travelling north on Robie Street. She suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS. She was not in a crosswalk.

This collision remains under investigation and charges under the Motor Vehicle Act are expected against the pedestrian.
