Tuesday, May 13, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality would like to remind residents that there will be no regular municipal solid waste collection services provided on Victoria Day, Monday, May 19, 2014.
Curbside collection of garbage, organics or recyclables normally scheduled for Victoria Day, May 19, will occur the Saturday before, on May 17, 2014.
The waste processing and disposal facilities in Otter Lake, the two composting facilities and the municipal recycling plant will be closed on Victoria Day, Monday, May 19, but will be open regular operating hours on Saturday, May 17.
The municipality’s residential household special Waste (HSW) depot located at 20 Horseshoe Lake Dr. will be closed Saturday, May 17, but will be open Saturday, May 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
